My favorite part of Spring is when all the trees start to bloom, and it’s truly epic when the dozens and dozens of cherry trees at Ault Park burst with soft petals! So when Cassie and Drew wanted to do their Engagement Session with the cherry trees, I couldn’t have been more excited! It was such a romantic place to celebrate their relationship as we strolled in between the rows of blossoms and they danced through the tall columns of the pavilion. I didn’t think it could be any more perfect, but then Cassie asked if they could incorporate a Chick-fil-a picnic – one of their favorite dates! Of course! I was just kicking myself for not bringing nuggets and fries to the session too! Don’t worry though – I grabbed some on the way home! 🙂

Cassie and Drew met in college through mutual friend groups. Drew is great at fixing things, and Cassie and her roommates conveniently kept needing a handyman to help them with things around their apartment. 😉 Later on, they started dating and then Drew proposed last summer! Cassie had scheduled a photo swap with another photographer, and he figured that would be the perfect time to propose. He carried the ring around the park in an empty McDonald’s drink cup, pretending to sip from it every now and then. Cassie didn’t even suspect a thing until she turned around and saw him down on one knee. After she said yes, their friends and family popped out from the trees and they celebrated together! Drew told me that Cassie helps him be the best version of himself, while Cassie said that Drew always knows how to make her smile and laugh. It doesn’t hurt that Drew is an amazing cook too! 🙂
