The magical time of Christmas made the scenes of Charleston look more beautiful than ever for this engagement session with Lindsay and Kyle! We started the afternoon at Hampton Park, and there was a sparkly glow that peaked through the mossy oak trees that you would’ve never guessed it was wintertime. As we left the park, we popped some champagne before heading to downtown Charleston to enjoy the Christmas decor. There was an incredible moment when all of a sudden the Christmas lights turned on, and I squealed with excitement because it made this part of the session extraordinary!

Exploring the streets of Charleston with Lindsay and Kyle was a blast! Their lively personalities shined as we laughed and had a great time…and we were lucky enough that a horse and carriage came by to join in the picture too! One of my top goals when working with a couple is to ensure they have a great time laughing and enjoying their photo session and I’m pretty sure that was accomplished during our time together!

Lindsay and Kyle started dating when they were both juniors at Clemson University. Lindsay had moved into the apartment right above Kyle’s, and on move-in day, he invited Lindsay and friends to attend a party. At the time, she said no, but deep down, she knew he was a good catch and future hubby material.

Their engagement story is just adorable…Lindsay thought she was getting drinks with her best friends, but first, they convinced her to take a walk on a trail since it was such a nice day. During their walk, she saw Kyle waiting for her in a beautiful area. Lindsay was confused at first because she thought he was golfing with his friends, so she had no idea this was coming! So naturally, he popped the question while her friends hid behind a bush taking pictures! Then to surprise her even more, Kyle had some of their friends who they hadn’t seen in awhile waiting on them at Vickerys to celebrate their engagement!

In their free time, they love attending Clemson football games since that is their alma mater. They also have a dog, Levi, who loves going on walks! Lindsay told me one of her favorite things about Kyle is that he’s always willing to eat Chick-fil-a with her! I am a fan of Chick-fil-a myself, so I totally understand that being one of her favorite things about him! Kyle’s favorite thing about Lindsay is her personality, and I would completely have to agree with him on that!

It was such a pleasure working with Lindsay and Kyle during their engagement session and we had a blast! I’m so excited to see where life takes them in their relationship and marriage. I’m looking forward to their fall wedding at Boone Hall, as I know it will be perfect!
