Wild Dunes Resort Family Session

Nestled on the beautiful Isle of Palms, South Carolina, I met the Wellman Family for their Wild Dunes Resort Family Session. The start of the session was extra special as the family had just arrived at the beach that day! Capturing the pure joy and excitement of the children seeing the ocean for the first time was priceless. Beach family sessions are some of my favorites as there is something about the sand between your toes, the sound of the ocean waves crashing to the shore, and the joy of seeing little ones splash in the waves.

We captured some truly gorgeous images of this sweet family of five in between lots of playing in the sand and eventually the water! I love capturing authentic, candid moments of families interacting with each other. The three kids had so much fun running down the beach and kicking up water, filling the air with laughter. By the end of the session, the kids were soaked, which is the best way to end any beach session! Even the parents weren’t afraid to get a little wet and splashed in the ocean with their kids!

A gorgeous sunset graced the sky as our session came to an end. Its pastel colors perfectly coordinated with the family’s outfits, creating a harmonious backdrop for their portraits. It was a perfect cotton candy sunset!

Capturing The Wellman family’s session against the natural beauty of Wild Dunes Resort was such a treat! I loved witnessing all the shared smiles, hugs, and playful moments that spoke volumes of their love and connection. Now, they not only have beautiful updated family photos, but lasting memories of this special family moment that they will cherish for years!
