Courtney and Ryan’s elegant southern wedding at The Carriage House at Magnolia Plantation and Gardens in Charleston, SC was a breathtaking blend of classic elegance and Southern charm. With a soft color palette of neutrals, blues, and pops of pastel florals from the venue’s garden, their spring wedding day was nothing short of magical.

Getting Ready at Middleton Place Inn

The day started with Courtney and her bridesmaids getting ready at The Inn at Middleton Place. There was so much excitement in the air as they got ready, with Courtney slipping into her stunning wedding dress, complete with a cathedral-length veil. Her bridal bouquet—a lush mix of white and soft blue blooms— was the perfect complement to her classic bridal look.

A Romantic Outdoor Ceremony

The couple exchanged vows under towering oak trees draped in Spanish moss, with breathtaking views of the Ashley River and a bright blue sky as their backdrop. A gorgeous floral circle framed the moment beautifully, adding a soft, romantic touch to an already stunning scene.

Afterwards, I captured a few newlywed portraits around the stunning property. I loved that the florals throughout the venue matched the couple’s wedding colors, making the entire setting feel effortlessly cohesive and natural. We then made our back to the Oyster Patio at The Carriage House where guests mingled, enjoying refreshing drinks and delicious hors d’oeuvres, which of course included fresh oysters.

The reception space was transformed into a romantic Southern dream. White drapery flowed from the ceiling, chandeliers wrapped in greenery added a touch of elegance, and soft blue candles flickered on the tables. Oyster shell placeholders and take-home gifts tied in the Lowcountry charm. Floral arrangements in tall vases for the head table and low, lush centerpieces on the guest tables created an inviting atmosphere. It was a gorgeous wedding and everyone in attendance had the best time taking to the dance floor and celebrating the newlyweds.
