I can’t think of a better way to kick of a new year than with Amy and Patric’s winter wedding at Boone Hall Plantation and Gardens! You never quite know what the weather is going to be like when you get married in January in Charleston, but we had the most beautiful day with warm sunshine, blue skies, and the most amazing sunset over the marsh!

Amy and Patric planned a romantic, intimate wedding with just a couple months’ notice with a focus on the natural beauty of Boone Hall and the gathering of their close friends and family. They chose to have their ceremony along the majestic avenue of live oak trees dripping with Spanish moss. Amy’s favorite moment of the day was when she was walking down the aisle and looked up to see Patric crying. As part of the Navy, he is a pretty tough guy, but it was so sweet to see him absolutely in love with his bride!

Patric’s favorite moment was hearing Amy’s vows, which I think brought tears to just about everyone’s eyes. She told him, “Patric, you are my home. There is no one else in this world that makes me feel as safe or as love as you…My list of promises to you could go on and on but I promise to be there. For every deployment, for every move, for every month we spend apart. No matter how hard it gets I promise to wait for that first hug when you come home, and I promise to not adopt all the dogs when you’re gone to make up for the Patric sized hole in my heart…There is no one else out there that I would rather go through life with. Through the good and the bad I promise you forever. I love you.”

After their First Kiss as husband and wife, their two sweet pups were the first to greet them! We then captured some gorgeous portraits under the tall oak trees and on the dock for sunset and celebrated with dinner and dancing under the lights and stars on the Boone Hall patio. Amy and Patric, I am blown away by your love and devotion to each other, and can’t wait to see all the adventures you go on together! It was truly an honor to witness your special day at Boone Hall, and if the rest of 2021 is anything like your wedding, it’s going to be absolutely incredible!
