Exploring the historic cobblestone streets of downtown Charleston with Tatiana and Matthew for their engagement session was so fun! Walking on the cobblestones is so easy thing, and Tatiana rocked her high heels on them like an absolute pro. We also strolled through the vibrant area of Rainbow Row because Tatiana loves this fun and colorful spot! While making our way through the streets, we stopped for a few pictures in front of the iconic St. Michael’s Church, and we even got photobombed by a horse and carriage! Eeek! I absolutely love when this happens because it makes for magical photos! 

After we were done wandering around downtown, we ended up at The Citadel Beach Club on the Isle of Palms. This is actually where their wedding reception is being held! The sunset on the beach was whimsical and gave the pictures a perfect cotton candy-looking sky. 

Matthew and Tatiana met while he attended The Citadel in Charleston when he roomed with one of Tatiana’s best friends. Their relationship has been long-distance due to the military, so when they are together, it is extra special! It was the best getting to capture them together and so in love…I can’t imagine having a long-distance relationship with my husband.

During a trip to Texas that Tatiana took to visit Matthew, he decided to take her to Cameron Park in Waco. Once they got to Lover’s Leap, a cliff alongside the Bosque River, Matthew decided to get down on one knee and ask Tatiana to spend the rest of her life with him! 

When these two are together, they absolutely love entertaining their friends, cooking different recipes, and watching some of their favorite tv shows. Matthew has a great sense of humor and that is just one of Tatiana’s favorite things about him. Tatiana’s bubbly personality came out during this session, and I could see why that is one of Matthew’s favorite things about her!

It was dreamy getting to take engagement photos for Tatiana and Matthew. We became quick friends during their session, and it makes me all that more excited for their spring wedding!
