If I could imagine the perfect Fall Day in Ohio, this would definitely have been it! We had the most beautiful weather and golden leaves for Emily and Alan’s Engagement Session. They had their first date at the Clifton Mill, famous for their epic Christmas light display and enormous lumberjack pancakes. So it was fitting that we started their session there, exploring the grounds, peeking at the giant mill wheel, and hiking through the trails along the gorge. Emily and Alan love to hike and even have the goal of visiting all the National Parks. They were even hiking one of the National Parks in Ohio – Cuyahoga Valley National Park – when Alan proposed to Emily! They had hiked a few trails when they came to Blue Hen falls and climbed up behind the waterfall, when Alan dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. Soon after she said yes, he revealed that all her immediate family was there celebrating with them (how sweet right???).
After hiking and taking in all the amazing fall trees near the Clifton Mill, we headed to Buck Creek State Park where their new puppy, Charlie, got to join the fun! He has the most amazing teal blue puppy eyes I’ve ever seen, and I loved how they matched Emily’s sweater too! Charlie was so curious and playful – I had almost forgotten how fun and crazy the puppy stage is. Watching Emily and Alan with Charlie, I can already tell they are going to be an amazing team and can’t wait to see what they do together in life. Alan said that “the thing I love the most about Emily is her huge heart and selflessness that she is always serving others with. This prevails in the most unexpected times – which I adore.” Emily and Alan, thank you for allowing me the privilege of documenting such a special time in your lives!! I cannot wait for your wedding next summer!!
