From start to finish, this Engagement Session with Kaela and Justin was absolutely amazing! We had to reschedule one or twice because of the coronavirus and stay at home orders, but it was worth the wait! We started by exploring the charming historic streets of Charleston and ended with a beautiful pink sunset on the Isle of Palms beach. Every corner we turned had more colorful shutters and doorways, beautiful flower boxes, and cobblestone streets. Downtown Charleston does not disappoint, and I could easily spend all day wandering the cute alleys and streets with Kaela and Justin!
The ocean breeze and cool waves at Isle of Palms were so refreshing on a warm summer day, and Kaela and Justin were up for just about anything I asked, including wading out into the waves at the end! After an overcast day, we were gifted with the most beautiful, pastel sunset, which matched Kaela’s flowy, pink dress perfectly! We couldn’t have asked for a better way to end the day, and I’m crossing my fingers it’s a little preview of their waterfront wedding at Harborside East next spring!
Kaela and Justin met and started dating through mutual friend groups while they were both studying at Clemson University. During a trip to visit Kaela’s family in New Hampshire, they decided to hike Mount Major, a mountain that Kaela had been hiking since she could walk and where her parents got engaged! The sweeping views of green forests and blue lakes at the top are just incredible, and Justin had actually been planning for months to propose during this annual mountain hike – so sweet, right? He got down on one knee with the ring, and she said yes! When they hiked back down the mountain to Kaela’s lake house, Justin surprised her again with BOTH of their families there to celebrate! His parents and sister flew in from Georgia, and they were all able to meet in person for the first time!
Kaela and Justin, I am SO excited for you! Thank you for exploring Charleston with me and letting me capture this beautiful time in your lives!
Every picture is better than the last. Thank you for sharing
Beautiful historic Charlestown and two gorgeous people, nothing could be more perfect for these magnificent engagement photos! Love them and love you both.
