Megan and Matt | Fall Wedding at Jorgensen Farms in Westerville

As I pulled up to Jorgensen Farms, I just knew it was going to be an amazing day for Megan and Matt! Even though it is just a short drive from the busy city of Columbus, the farm feels so quiet and peaceful. The rustic charm of the Historic Barn was such a perfect spot for both their beautiful ceremony and jammin’ reception, and the farm countryside was a picturesque backdrop for portraits! I was so excited that we were able to squeeze so many pictures in between the rainstorms outside! Megan and Matt – and their family and friends – braved the November chill, and it was definitely worth it!!

It is clear that family and faith are important to Megan and Matt, and I loved seeing how they wove this legacy into their day – from prayers of blessings before the day started, to the framed pictures of their parents and grandparents on their wedding days. Some of my favorite moments of the day were hearing the reception speeches of Megan’s sister, Jenny, and Matt’s brother, David. I think the whole room was brought to laughter and tears hearing the stories of their childhood! Jenny said that one of the things she has wanted the most over the years was a friendship with her sister, and she’s so thankful that they have that! Jenny then gave them a sweet gift for their new home – a red special plate that said “You are special today.” Growing up, Megan and Jenny’s family brought a similar red plate out on birthdays and other special days. My family actually had the same red plate and tradition, so it was fun to see Jenny pass this on to her younger sister!

Megan and Matt, I can’t thank you enough for allowing me to have a little part of your Wedding Day and helping you remember it all for days, months, and years to come, so that hopefully one day, your picture will be framed and displayed at your grandchild’s wedding as well. Congratulations you two!
