Savanna and Josh are one of the sweetest couples I have met, and their Engagement Session was SO much fun! Their laughs are truly contagious! We started in a local sunflower field, which was in bloom! And even though we were having a sudden bit of a heat wave, Josh wore his fall wool sweater without complaining at all! After laughing our way through the sunflower field, we headed to Buck Creek State Park in Springfield. The views of the lake were simply amazing, and how often do you get to snuggle in a blanket of rose petals by the beach?! They were seriously up for anything I threw at them! I can’t imagine a more relaxing way to end a session than to watch the sun set over the water. The waves gently washed over our toes as the water reflected the orange and pink sky.

It was such a perfect setting because Josh had proposed to Savanna this summer while they were vacationing on the beach and decided to get up early to watch the sun rise. They were looking for seashells when Josh called her over, saying he had found one. 😉 She walked over to him to see the shell, and instead he held out the engagement ring! They are clearly so in love and ready for this next phase of life together. Savanna said that she loves how she can be herself around him! (insert my ugly cry) He loves how beautiful and flawless she is, and apparently Savanna makes the world’s best chocolate chip cookies! I cannot wait for their Columbus wedding next summer at Magnolia Hill Farm! Savanna and Josh, thank you for letting me capture such a special time in your lives!!
