Summer is meant for fun and adventures – exploring outdoors, chins dripping with watermelon juice, and happily falling asleep as soon as your head hits the pillow. Our family was able to spend a week at Lake Michigan last month and it was so nice to relax as a family. We played on the beach, swam in the pool, hiked the sand dunes, visited the lighthouse, picked strawberries at a local farm, and made many new favorite memories. We had actually visited the same beach house 4 years ago, and it was amazing how different it was with our kids a little older (no naps or diapers…).
