Thomas and Emily | Joy-filled Summer Wedding

I met Emily’s family at church a couple years ago when they moved from Colorado to Ohio, and little did we know then that not only would we become neighbors but that I would get to share in such a special day for their family! I truly enjoyed not only capturing these two get married, but also witnessing their families become one family! Emily and Thomas’s families have been close over the years as their moms were friends and their families’ lives interweaved together. However, it wasn’t until after Emily’s family moved to Ohio, and they were both in college that they reconnected through social media and started having deeper conversations. Emily and Thomas’s relationship grew and strengthened not only through a long distance relationship, but also through a crazy global pandemic! Neither the thousands of miles nor the coronavirus could keep them apart though!

Their day was full of so much meaning and sweet moments! Emily wore Thomas’s great grandmother’s necklace, which was also worn by Thomas’s mother at her wedding! In addition, the straps on Emily’s wedding dress were made from her mother’s wedding dress, and she also wore her mother’s wedding shoes! One of my favorite moments of the day was when Emily’s dad and two brothers saw her for the first time. I don’t think there was a dry eye as they smiled and hugged – such a testament to their family’s bond, and I hope one day my two kids will share that as well! Another amazing moment was their First Kiss! Not only did they kiss twice, but Thomas dipped her – so epic and worth the wait!

Thomas and Emily, I am so excited for you both to start this new chapter of life together! Thank you for trusting me with your beautiful wedding! I hope I can come visit you in Colorado and the next time we have mountains as our backdrop for pictures!
