A few weeks ago, I met up with Brianna and Jordan for their Spring engagement session in Charleston. These two came all the way from northern Ohio for their engagement pictures! We started their session at the beautiful Hampton Park, where all the trees had finally started blooming. The azaleas and peach trees made the park look oh so colorful and added a romantic scenery. It was absolutely perfect for this engagement session!

Next, we headed to downtown Charleston and had an amazing time exploring the historic streets. Brianna and Jordan will be getting married this summer at the beautiful Upstairs at Midtown. This venue is perfect for more intimate weddings, and I am so excited to photograph their wedding there!

Brianna and Jordan met online at the beginning of the pandemic last year. They were only able to go on two dates before everything shut down. Even though they couldn’t go out and have fun, they actually found themselves getting to know each other so much more because they were able to spend quality time at home. They were able to cook together, watch movies or binge-watched their favorite shows. I think if you can make it through a global pandemic together, then you can get through almost anything in life! 

Jordan had asked Brianna to take a walk with their dog at a lake that is around their home. After they walked a bit, Jordan got down on one knee and asked Brianna to marry him! She was surprised at the proposal, but then he surprised her with both of their parents, as well as her son there to celebrate the special occasion. I love hearing of special moments like this that people were able to celebrate together even through a pandemic! 

Their engagement session felt so natural and you could see the connection that they share. It was like we’ve all been friends for years! One of my goals is to always become friends with my clients and have fun! Come to find out, Jordan and I went to the same college, so that was fun to have that in common!
