Molly and Seth | Downtown Historic Charleston SC Engagement Session

Engagements

Molly and Seth’s downtown historic Charleston SC engagement Session was filled with so many fun moments! These two traveled all the way from Florida for their engagement session and will be getting married here in Charleston at the William Aiken House in March! They met in Newport, Rhode Island but now enjoy the warm weather and water in Key West while Seth is on a military assignment. They love to explore the water on their boat, try out different restaurants, ride bikes, and dance the night away at the live bars in Key West! Molly and Seth are outgoing and friendly – never a dull moment with them! They told me that they often, “walk into a room of total strangers and leave knowing everyone because we genuinely wanted to.”  Both of them have warm and inviting personalities making it easy to talk to them.

The Proposal

Molly worked a long shift and came home with the intention that she and Seth were going out for a light bite. Seth surprised Molly by pulling out a tandem bicycle to ride around town. They took a quick stop at a beautiful fountain in Key West. Seth asked Molly to dance, and then got down on one knee. Molly blacked out. But came back to life and said “YES!”

After hearing their proposal story, I was thrilled that they decided to incorporate a tandem bicycle! Not only are tandem bicycles fun and romantic, but for Molly and Seth it was a reminder of that special day Seth proposed! Afterwards, they did a quick outfit change and we headed to Charleston’s Rainbow Row!

Rainbow Row features beautiful, colorful houses painted in an array of fun, tropical colors. There, they popped a bottle of champagne to celebrate their engagement! We ended their downtown Charleston engagement Session at the iconic Pineapple Fountain, which symbolizes hospitality!  Both the historic Pineapple Fountain and Rainbow Row capture Molly and Seth’s fun and friendly personalities. The fountain was also the perfect location to end their engagement session since Seth proposed to Molly in front of a fountain!

Molly and Seth are the sweetest couple! I had so much fun exploring these historic landmarks in downtown Charleston while capturing their engagement photos! It was an honor to photograph these memories for them and tell their story through these images, and I can’t wait for their wedding day!  Congratulations, Molly and Seth!
