I doesn’t get much more beautiful and iconic Charleston than Kelsey and Cam’s Engagement Session! Their downtown Charleston and Folly Beach engagement session started in the French Quarter of downtown Charleston. Kelsey and Cam strolled hand in hand along the cobblestone streets. The downtown area is rich in history and iconic landmarks, such as old church steeples and colorful houses, providing a charming and classic backdrop.

After finishing our stroll through the French Quarter, we ventured to the Lighthouse Inlet Heritage Preserve at Folly Beach. With the historic candy cane striped Morris Island Lighthouse in the distance, we were greeted with a breathtaking sunset that did not disappoint. After taking in the sunset, I was thrilled when Kelsey said she wanted to go into the water! I loved her adventurous spirit, as well as Kelsey and Cam’s willingness to try a few fun and crazy ideas! They didn’t think twice about getting completely soaked in the ocean waves, allowing us to get the best, candid, fun, and memorable photos! While they were drenched by the end of our session, I think I speak for both of them when I say it was 100% worth it!

Their Love Story

Their love story began at a mutual friend’s New Year’s Eve party. A few friends orchestrated a midnight kiss between Cam and Kelsey. That first kiss marked the start of their journey. Their love grew from there, eventually leading to Cam’s surprise proposal!

For the proposal, Cam enlisted the help of Kelsey’s best friend, Ashley, who is a realtor in Charleston. Ashley asked Kelsey to go to a brokerage event at Magnolia Plantation. As they arrived, Kelsey found herself on a muddy trail trekking in high heels, after an earlier rain storm. Just as she was getting ready to say she was done, there was Cam, who was supposed to be on a boys trip, coming around the corner. He got down on one knee against the backdrop of a picturesque setting. The proposal was followed by an engagement party with their closest friends and family back at their house, making it a weekend filled with love and celebration.

Kelsey and Cam’s love for each other is a reflection of their unique qualities. Kelsey admires Cam’s dedication and ability to bring a smile to her face. Cam, in turn, loves Kelsey for her caring demeanor and her capacity to brighten his every day. Their love is a beautiful blend of affection and admiration, and after seeing them together, I know they are absolutely perfect for each other.

Their wedding next summer at Boone Hall Plantation, with the guidance of MOD Events Charleston, is sure to be another beautiful chapter in their journey! I can’t wait to capture their wedding and celebrate them on their big day!
