Engagements

Roaming the downtown streets of Charleston with Mallory and Mike for their engagement session was so much fun! Two weeks leading up to their session, it had rained almost every single day. Thankfully, we were fortunate to have an amazing day as it warmed up, the sky was blue, and at the end of the session, we had an incredible sunset! I may be a little biased since I live here, but the streets of Charleston are always so lovely for pictures.

Afterwards, we explored the beach on the Isle of Palms and grabbed some gorgeous views of the sun setting while we finished off their photos.

Mallory and Mike met while they were both attending Clemson University. These two both played club lacrosse and became good friends before they officially started dating. Their proposal story is nothing short of something sweet. Mike had told Mallory he was going to take their Golden Retriever, Covey, on a walk at the South Carolina Botanical Gardens, and she was supposed to meet them after work. Mallory met both of them in the gardens, and she noticed that Covey was wearing a bow tie and a dog tag that was asking her to marry him. How cute is that?! I have a Goldendoodle myself and I love when my couples include their dogs in their proposals, engagement sessions, or even on their wedding day!! If you want to include your furry friend, I will always say yes!

These two love to be outdoors and enjoy spending time with each other and Covey. They love to go hunting, fishing, and hiking, but most importantly they love hanging around with their family and friends! When I asked these two what their favorite thing about each other is, Mike of course had to show off his goofy side. He told me that Mallory doesn’t bother him while he watches his football games, but in all seriousness, he told me that he really enjoys Mallory’s company whenever they are together. Mallory said that she enjoys the time they spend together no matter what they are doing. They could just be driving around, or going on a walk, or even running errands. No matter what they do, they truly enjoy doing it together! While spending time with these two, I could truly tell that they are best friends and just adore each other.

Their wedding day is quickly approaching next month! I cannot wait to photograph their wedding at Boone Hall. I know that their day is going to be nothing short of fun, romantic, and simply gorgeous!
