Lowndes Grove is one of my favorite wedding venues in Charleston. It features a private property with stunning views of the Ashley River. Along the property you’ll find big oak trees draped in Spanish moss, spacious Southern porches, a grand staircase, and one of the filming locations for Outer Banks TV show. It is truly a beautiful place and a top wedding venue in the area. When I found out Sibel and Jean-Kevin were having a Lowndes Grove wedding, I knew it was going to be a day to remember.

Their southern color palette of primarily light blue and white, with hints of light green, was a beautiful combination that complemented the natural scenery and waterfront location of the venue. Sibel’s dress was a showstopper! I loved the lace detailing of the long sleeves and high neckline. Her veil and long dress train added to her elegant bridal look. The bridesmaids dresses, each in a different style, color, and pattern were beautiful. Even though they were all different, their look was still cohesive and looked amazing.

What started as a rainy day, dried just in time for getting ready pictures, which gave way to beautiful sunshine the rest of the day. The ceremony took place outside on the lawn framed by the oak trees and with views of the water beyond. There, under a beautiful floral arch, Sibel and Jean-Kevin exchanged vows with all their loved ones looking on. Afterwards, we made sure to include the floral arch in their wedding portraits, as the white and blue hydrangeas mixed with the greenery framed them perfectly. We then explored the property as we captured more newlywed photos. There is no shortage of beautiful backdrops at Lowndes Grove. We ended their newlywed portraits out by the water where we were treated to an incredible sunset painting the skies behind them.

Their tented wedding reception was a blast! The opening in the tent facing the water allowed a nice breeze to roll in and provided the most gorgeous views for guests to enjoy from their tables. Guests also had fun with the photo booth and enjoyed epic dancing. The dance floor was full all night and I loved seeing so much joy and happiness throughout the evening.
